All over Palestine, pictures show "martyrs" of the Palestinian struggle for independence. This photo was taken in the Ayda Refugee Camp close to the tourist hub Bethlehem, where incidents occur regularly between the Israeli army and (especially young) Palestinians. Remarkable is the English translation of the text and the perspective. It is formulated in a first-person narrative as if the young boy adressed the observer personally. Both might take into account the frequent visits of international tourists in this Refugee camp.
