In the Damascene handicrafts market close to the National Museum a glass-blower used to (does he still?) sell gold decorated glasses mostly in blue and green and often colouful lamps - the latter mostly for mosques but also for homes of tourists of those Damascenes that fancied traditionally produced furniture and decoration.
